Women and Early Colour Photography: An Autochrome Trail

Curator
Sites across Oxford, 15 October – 15 November 2021
Curated and organised trail of autochromes across various sites in Oxford. The trail shed light on the pioneering, early colour photography of three women, all united in their production of autochromes: Sarah Angelina Acland, Helen Messinger Murdoch and Etheldreda Janet Laing. The use of fascimiles meant the highly light sensitive autochromes could be viewed, and the presentation on glass replicated their materiality.
Worked in association with Bounce to install vinyls across Oxford and develop trail map and pamphlet.
